As a key player in our team, the ICT Technician will be responsible for managing various aspects of our IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Office 365 SharePoint and website hosting for our clients.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Office 365 and SharePoint Administration: Manage and maintain our Office 365 environment, including SharePoint sites, permissions, document libraries, lists, and workflows. Ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of SharePoint sites for seamless collaboration across the organization.
- Website Hosting: Oversee website hosting and maintenance, ensuring smooth operation, performance optimization, security updates, and uptime monitoring. Troubleshoot and resolve website-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- IT Support: Provide technical support to end-users, assisting with hardware and software issues, network connectivity problems, and general IT inquiries. Respond to help desk tickets in a timely and efficient manner, resolving problems or escalating them to the appropriate team members when necessary.
- Network Infrastructure: Support the maintenance and monitoring of the local area network (LAN) and assist with the configuration and setup of networking equipment such as switches and routers.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage data backup and recovery strategies to ensure the protection of critical business data. Perform periodic data backups and conduct data restoration tests to verify data integrity.
- Security: Assist with implementing and maintaining IT security measures to safeguard company systems and data from potential cyber threats. Monitor for security breaches and promptly respond to security incidents.
- IT Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity within the IT team.
- Software Installation and Updates: Install, configure, and update software applications across the organization, adhering to licensing agreements and best practices.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors to resolve technical issues and escalate support tickets when necessary, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution.
- IT Projects: Participate in various IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments. Contribute to project planning, execution, and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in managing Office 365 SharePoint environments and website hosting.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, hardware, and software systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on various platforms.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and the ability to implement and monitor security measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective technical support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing priorities effectively.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 certifications, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.
